Introduction to Fishing – A First-Time Angling Experience for Kids (Rain or Shine!)
This two-hour class is designed for kids ages 6 to 15 who are curious about fishing and ready to try something new. With all equipment provided and supportive instructors guiding each step, this is the perfect introduction to the basics of fishing in a relaxed, kid-friendly setting.
What to Expect:
Hands-on practice with rods, reels, and corn power bait
Learn how to cast a line and reel in safely
Introduction to knot tying and basic gear setup
Explore where fish live and what they eat
Identify local fish species and aquatic wildlife
Practice catch and release with gentle handling techniques
Learn safe, respectful fishing habits and environmental awareness
Course Details:
Ages 6 to 15
Two-hour session
All fishing gear and bait provided
Class limited to 8 participants
Fee is $25.00 per participant
Parent or guardian must remain on-site for the duration of the class.
