Goat Yoga
What Is Goat Yoga?
What is goat yoga? Baby goat yoga, sometimes known as “goat yoga,” is a unique kind of yoga.  In essence, the practice involves people practicing yoga next to a small goat.
Goats are some of the cutest, coziest, and happiest farm animals, therefore, generally speaking, the purpose of goat yoga is to practice some basic yoga while grinning, laughing, and having fun with goats.
Goat yoga aims to transform a typical yoga practice into a therapeutic session for the mental wellness of animals. However, there has long been a popular tendency of using animals as therapy. Animal therapy is encouraged by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention because it can help reduce stress and cholesterol. Children with autism can develop relationships thanks to it as well.
Studies have also shown that receiving animal therapy aids those who struggle with sadness and anxiety. According to studies, pets can make people feel less anxious and lonely. The primary driving force behind goat therapy was this very notion. Additionally, the friendliness of goats is helpful. Thus, unlike cats and dogs, goats do not require specific connections before being handled. Goats are more likely than dogs and cats to approach strangers and allow people to pet them. As a result, they make excellent therapy animals.

About the Goats
All of our goats are rescues that have been taken from poor situations and given a second chance at life.  Here at Horse and Goat Yoga we aim to rehabilitate, socialize, and love these baby goats until they can find their forever homes. We have successfully re-homed dozens of baby goats since our opening in 2018 and plan to continue helping animals in need.
